User Documentation

The Milimail application is composed of several modules :

• A mail client, forked from the Mozilla Thunderbird 2 client. This module is called the Milimail client,
• Extensions which need the Milimail client,
• Standalone extensions, working with the classic Mozilla Thunderbird 2 client.

The following chapters present informations for each extension about functionalities, installation, configuration and use.

The Milimail client

The Milimail client is a fork from Mozilla Thunderbird 2 client's sources and includes the following functionnalities :

• Triple wrapping
• Signed Receipt
• DSN
• Handling priority at the enveloppe level
• Security labels

Extensions which need the Milimail client

• MDN : the Milimail client is needed to update prompt notification messages, but also works as a standalone extension.
• XSMTP : the Milimail client is needed to fix the Mozilla bug 380661.

• Handling emails formats supported by contacts
• Display certificate of a contact
• Autocomplete recipient with multi-directory
• CRL over LDAP
• Notifications viewer
• Message Remote Services API alpha
